PASTOR MARCUS C. WRIGHT

Pastor Marcus C. Wright is the second son born to Mrs. Luberta Morton Wright and the late legendary Pastor James C. Wright, Sr. of Carrollton, Alabama. As a youth, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and was baptized by the late Rev. Reginald Billups at the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Carrollton, Alabama. He began playing the piano in church, at the young tender age of 11. While serving as a musician at the Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church of Aliceville, Alabama, he was later called to serve as Minister of Music. While serving as Minister of Music of the Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church, he accepted the Divine Call of the Master to preach the Word of God in November 2006, under the leadership of his late father, Pastor James C. Wright, Sr. In October of 2016, he was called to serve as Pastor of the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Carrollton, Alabama. After the loss of his father, he was called to serve as Pastor of the Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church of Aliceville, Alabama in January 2020 to continue the legacy of his late great father. The Lord is doing amazing things at Mt. Hebron, and we will continue to be a church where we walk by faith, and not by sight!

He is also employed by the Lowndes County School District of Columbus, Mississippi, where he currently serves as the Band Director of West Lowndes High School. 

He is a graduate of Carrollton High School of Carrollton, Alabama and a graduate of the University of Alabama where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education. 

He is blessed to share each day of his life with his amazing, beautiful and supportive wife Takeisha and their five beautiful children: Javion, Marcus Jr, Mason, Aiden and Just.
